Partnership deal helps businesses protect staff with access to COVID-19 testing

The Travel Risk & Incident Prevention (TRIP) Group have secured a partnership deal with Nomad Travel to provide a range of COVID-19 testing and certification services.  The partnership marks a significant step in helping those who need to travel both domestically and internationally. 

With many countries and airlines requiring a negative COVID-19 PCR result as an entry requirement, access to affordable, reliable testing is something every organisation looking to resume business travel will need. 

Managing Director of the TRIP Group, Christine Shacklady, said, “Our partnership with Nomad allows us to offer our members access to high quality testing kits at a discounted rate. The intention is for organisations to use this testing as part of their travel risk policy and also to help provide peace of mind for both travellers and employers.”

The services available have been developed to be more than just test kit provision. The Travel Medicine team at Nomad are able to provide support throughout the testing process, by reviewing results & providing clear travel certification.

There are two types of testing available, COVID-19 PCR Swab and COVID-19 Antibody testing. Nomad recommends that all organisations looking to resume staff travel provide employees with a PCR Swab kit.

Antibody testing is also available via blood sampling at a Nomad Travel clinic or a remotely supervised home testing kit. These tests are recommended for those who think they may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Nomad’s Head of Business Services, Elly Trobe, said, “It’s important to note that antibody tests are highly unlikely to be accepted for travel, it is the PCR Swab test results which are required by many countries and airlines.  She went on to say, “Employers sending staff overseas need to look at incorporating high quality testing processes to their travel risk strategies to ensure duty of care is met.”

All tests provided by Nomad are MHRA approved & CE marked, it is important to look out for this quality assurance on all COVID testing products. 

As part of the partnership Nomad will be able to arrange complimentary video calls with any TRIP Group members looking for more information surrounding COVID-19 testing. This could either be for return to work or travel purposes. TRIP Group members will also receive a 5% discount on all Nomad Travel COVID-19 testing services, vaccinations & antimalarials, which includes large quantity orders for bigger organisations.
