Description
In 1989, at the age of just 26, Tracy skippered the first all-female crew in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race and in doing so changed the sailing world forever. As a result of her achievement, she became the first woman ever to be awarded the Yachtsman of the Year Trophy!
The story of Tracy and her boat, Maiden, is more than overcoming adversity, it’s about courage, determination, taking on the establishment and ultimately succeeding against all the odds. “Maiden” has since been made into a truly inspirational documentary film of Tracy’s journey.
