Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using this Website (“thetripgroup.com”), using our service or being a TRIP Group Member, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

1.1. “TRIP Group” refers to “the Travel Risk & Incident Prevention (TRIP) Group” and, includes its directors, employees, and agents.

1.2. “Member” refers to an individual, association, or business that has registered for the TRIP Group membership program.

1.3. “Membership” refers to the subscription granted to Members for a period of one year, subject to renewal.

1.4. “Event” refers to any function, meeting, seminar, or gathering organised by The TRIP Group.

2. Member Eligibility

2.1. A TRIP Group Member shall be an individual, association, or business that, in the opinion of The TRIP Group, operates to a standard demonstrating professionalism and quality that benefits the Membership of the Group.

2.2. Membership is granted at the sole discretion of the TRIP Group.

3. Membership Terms

3.1. The Membership period is one year from the date of registration and will renew automatically annually upon payment.

3.2. The TRIP Group reserves the right to limit the number of attendees at Events at its discretion, based on availability.

3.3. Membership fees are due immediately upon activation, and failure to pay by the due date will result in termination of Membership and access to TRIP Group account logins and events.

3.4. In the event a refund is issued, The TRIP Group reserves the right to withhold membership fees on a pro-rata basis, with an additional charge a 25% transaction fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

3.5. The TRIP Group can cancel Memberships at the sole discretion of the Directors if there is a conflict of interest with the TRIP Group or an associated partner or sponsor.

3.6. All Members must not misrepresent their affiliation with The TRIP Group or use the TRIP Group logo or initials without permission.

3.7. Members are not permitted to use TRIP Group Events and resources to sell their own products and services without express permission.

3.8. Members registering for TRIP Group events are only permitted to register persons employed at their company. Members wishing to register guests not from their company require prior written approval from a TRIP Group director prior to booking.

3.9. The TRIP Group reserves the right to refuse entry to any event to any individual or company where there is deemed to be a conflict of interest.

4. Conduct

4.1. Members and associated companies are expected to enhance relations with other Members and promote the professionalism of the travel risk management industry.

4.2. Members must not bring The TRIP Group into disrepute or take actions that would denigrate other Members.

4.3. Unauthorised sharing of Membership passwords will result in termination of Membership and potential legal action.

5. Events & Services

5.1. The TRIP Group reserves the right to cancel any Event or service without prior notice.

5.2. Members shall not be entitled to any refund or compensation for Events or services cancelled by The TRIP Group.

5.3. Should a member or non-member register for an event, tickets cannot be resold, shared or transferred to another party without written permission from the TRIP Group. In the event the registrant of the event does not attend, they shall not be entitled to any refund or compensation for Events or services.

5.4. The TRIP Group reserves the right to refuse entry to any event to any individual or company where there is deemed to be a conflict of interest. Should there be any attempt to circumvent the ticket revocation for the event or future events, those shall be held liable.

6. Force Majeure

6.1. The TRIP Group shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, disease, strikes, and governmental actions.

7. Limitations of Liability

7.1. The content of this Website is for general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.

7.2. The TRIP Group does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness, or suitability of the information on this Website.

7.3. Your use of any information or materials on this Website is entirely at your own risk, and The TRIP Group shall not be liable for any inaccuracies or errors.

7.4. The TRIP Group is not responsible for any losses or damages arising out of your use of this Website or reliance on any information contained herein.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. The material on this Website, including but not limited to the design, layout, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to The TRIP Group. Unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

8.2. All trademarks reproduced in this Website that are not the property of, or licensed to, The TRIP Group are acknowledged on the Website.

9. Data Use

9.1. By applying for Membership, registering for events or registering for newsletters, each individual, association, or business consents to the use of their personal data for the purpose of receiving information regarding The TRIP Group.

10. Amendments

10.1. The TRIP Group reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to Members, and your continued use of the Website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

11.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in those regions.

11.2.To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except to the extent expressly specified or referenced in these Terms of Use, The TRIP Group is not liable (whether in contract, tort, under statute or otherwise) for any loss, damage, or expense (including special, indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or revenue, loss of use, legal costs and defence or settlement costs) that you or any other person incurs arising directly or indirectly out of or referable to material on this website or to Third Party Material.

Liability of The TRIP Group for a breach of a condition or warranty implied by law or otherwise, and which cannot be excluded, is limited to the maximum extent allowable under the relevant laws.

You must comply with all laws in relation to your access or use of Material on this website, including laws of the country in which you reside or from which you access this website.

12. Miscellaneous

12.1. Any part of these Terms that is invalid or unenforceable shall be read down to the extent necessary to prevent it from being invalid or unenforceable. The remainder of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

12.2. This website may contain links to other websites operated by third parties (“Third Party Websites”). Those Third Party Websites are not under the control of The TRIP Group, and The TRIP Group does not endorse and is not responsible for any material on, or linked to from, Third Party Websites (“Third Party Material”).

In particular, and to the extent permitted by law, The TRIP Group makes no warranties or representations:

  • regarding the quality, accuracy, merchantability or fitness for purpose of Third Party Material or products or services available through Third Party Websites; or
  • that Third Party Material does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any corporation, organisation or person. The TRIP Group is not authorising the reproduction of Third Party Material by linking material on this website to Third Party Material.

12.3. You represent and warrant to The TRIP Group that you are at least 18 years of age and otherwise have the power, authority and capacity to agree to these Terms of Use with The TRIP Group.

12.4. A waiver of any right or provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by The TRIP Group.

12.5. These Terms and Conditions represent the entire agreement between you and The TRIP Group regarding your use of the Website and Membership.

12.6. “The TRIP Group” and all associated trademarks used on this website are registered or pending trademarks of The TRIP Group and/or its related entities. Copyright in the material on this website is owned or licensed by The TRIP Group except where necessary for viewing material on this website on your browser, or as permitted under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth)

The primary purpose of the TRIP Group is to keep travellers safe. Therefore, members shall have as his/her primary purpose for joining the group, the safety of people travelling. The focus of the Group shall be to share knowledge, experience and expertise to achieve the primary purpose.

A TRIP Group Member shall be an individual, association or business, which, in the opinion of the TRIP Group, operates to a standard, which shows professionalism and quality that benefits the Membership of the Group.

Membership entitles two employees from the member organisation to attend each of our masterclass events. 

All TRIP Group events have a limited number of places, allocated on a first come, first serve basis. The TRIP Group reserves the right to limit the number of attendees at their discretion.

TRIP Group Members and Partners are expected to enhance relations with Members of the Group and increase the perception and professionalism of the travel risk management industry as a whole.

TRIP Group Members and Partners must not bring the Group into disrepute or take action that would denigrate Members of the Group.

TRIP Group Members and Partners must not misrepresent their affiliation with the Group nor make use of any Group logo, or the initials TRIP, other than the approved TRIP Group Member logo and branding.

The TRIP Group Member logo itself may not be used on any publication or publicity material that includes reference to any retail or principal activity, which could satisfy normal TRIP Group Membership criteria.

Members are not permitted to use TRIP Group events and resources as a platform to sell their own products and services without express permission from the TRIP Group. Any breach of this will result in termination of membership without recompense, as detailed below under “Termination”.

Your membership password is strictly intended for members only usage. Unauthorised sharing or distribution can result in membership termination and or legal action

An annual subscription will be payable as determined by the TRIP Group.

The membership period is one year from date of membership activation, continuing for a further year upon renewal of the membership. Our payment terms are full payment by return. TRIP Group Member status will cease if the subscription is not paid by the due date.

In the event a refund is issued, The TRIP Group reserves the right to charge a 15% transaction fee. This fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Please note, this transaction is applicable to all refunds processed by the TRIP Group

Each individual, association or business named in the application form agrees to the use of their personal data for the purpose of receiving information regarding the TRIP Group and its Partners. This information will not be shared with any third parties.

The Group’s Board of Directors will have sole discretion in deciding to terminate the participation of any individual, association or business from the Group.

The decision of the Board of Directors is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.

On the termination of participation in the Group for any reason whatsoever, the former TRIP Group Member shall not be entitled to recover any part of the subscription paid for the current year. The former TRIP Group Member shall immediately cease to display the logo in any form whatsoever and shall not make any further reference to the Group.

Any change to these Terms & Conditions shall be at the discretion of the TRIP Group, and shall be advised to TRIP Group Members and Partners from time to time.

Appointment as a TRIP Group Member does not create any form of legal relationship between the Group and the TRIP Group Member or Partner other than the rights and obligations set out above. The status is particular to the entity and is not transferable.
